Grattan Helps You Solve Problems
Project |
Home office for bank |
Location |
Chesterfield County, Virginia |
Situation |
The parking lot was due to be paved when rain suddenly turned the entire site into a sea of slippery mud. |
Problem |
Unexpected set-back delayed schedule. The contractor had not done the necessary preplanning. It was unsafe to proceed on such unsteady ground, yet any waiting would make it impossible to meet the project completion deadline. |
Benefit |
Grattan Associates added lime to stabilize the subgrade. This allowed the site to be paved during the wet winter months, so the project could proceed according to schedule. |
