Grattan Helps You Anticipate Problems
Project |
Access to individual lots in residential neighborhood |
Location |
Western Henrico County, Virginia |
Situation |
A real estate agent told the residential developer there was no possible access to multiple lots located off the road. |
Problem |
Likely rejection of project. The realtor had called the County Planning Office and received incorrect information. Had this information been correct, it would have meant the developer could not subdivide the land and build single-family homes. |
Benefit |
Grattan Associates knew the regulations did not apply to a dead-end street, depending on the number and size of the individual lots. So Grattan designed a site plan that allowed the developer to subdivide the prop erty in such a way as to gain legal access to all the lots. |
